The cold months are fast approaching, and a precarious financial climate has produced an economic storm that has left many Chicago children and families without a warm coat this winter.
To help out, ING DIRECT – along with the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and Operation Warm will host a “friend-raiser” on September 16 at its Chicago Café to raise awareness about the efforts to provide thousands of new winter coats to Chicago’s neediest children. An exclusive video will debut at the event to offer a first-hand look at how the partnership provides new winter coats during Chicago’s coldest months.
Guests and community members attending the “friend-raiser” will meet the partners and enjoy food and beverages. The event is a kick-off to the October 24 coat distribution and service fair that will be held at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Forum.
