About the bands:
33hz pulls from their influences of Hall and Oats, Prince and Slave to create music that is about the feeling and the movement on the dance floor rather than dictation by genre or trend. The digital electro-pop sound is the result of layering 80's pop with 90's dance, all combined with the harmonies of R&B. Using analog synths, Linn drum machines, and funk guitars, the sound of 33Hz moves listeners to their feet and out on to the dance floor. Imagine Daft Punk and Jamiroquai partying it up with Chic at Studio 54.
The Information provides the dark, frenzied, and futuristic soundtrack for a lifestyle that perpetually races through neon-lit streets at 4 a.m. The roar of Stooges-style guitars tangles with video game synth hooks to give one a piece of insomnia-addled mania. The band's debut LP "Mistakes We Knew We Were Making" is a bratty and volatile mix of attitude, style, and provocation reminiscent of the best of Sire Records' 80's line up.
