Join Urban Development in association with the Rich Mix for Industry Takeover – Talking The Hardest: Music & Politics.
Taking place on 3rd February at the Rich Mix, ‘Talking The Hardest’ will be headlined by east London emcee, Ghetts whose track ‘Invisible’ was written to engage young people in the 2011 Census. So be prepared for some upfront debate as Chantelle Fiddy (Journalist & Contributing Editor, RWD Mag) chairs the panel. Ghetts will be joined on the top table by Fusion (Journalist & Producer), Jody McIntyre (Poet & Political Activist) and Austin Daboh (Music Manager, BBC 1Xtra) - it’s all about to get political!

Also taking to the stage alongside Ghetts for performances on the night will be no nonsense Deptford rapper, Big Cakes, oh-so-cute soul songstress, Baby Sol, hip hop crusader, Logic, the hypnotisingly smooth jazz/soul singer, Rosie Greenwood, and January’s open mic winner, Jamie, all with a full live band. Plus, budding hopefuls can compete in the open mic challenge to win a spot at the next show.

Industry Takeover is scheduled for the first Thursday of the month from October 2010 – March 2011.
