India’s Best Authors And Storytellers Gather To Narrate Enchanting Stories To Children At Landmark December 29, 2010

Love listening to stories? Here is an excellent chance to drift into a land full of stories. Join Scholastic’s efforts to encourage children to read and love books. Scholastic India is organizing Storytelling Night, a venture to inculcate reading habits in children. Storytelling Night is an occasion to celebrate stories, and to go back to an earlier time when gathering to listen to stories was a part of every child’s life. Adding to the excitement we are extremely glad to throw a birthday party as Scholastic is turning 90! The famous Scholastic characters - Clifford, The Big Red Dog and Geronimo Stilton will also be present during the bash. Clifford will also be reading out the Clifford stories to the children. Scholastic is marking 90th anniversary by launching a global campaign to get EVERYONE - parents, school leaders, students, and our broader community - to understand the critical importance of reading. In the 21st century, more than ever, children will need strong literacy skills to survive and succeed. Reading, every day, is the key to achieving success and a better life.
