About STORIES & LEGENDS from the Heart of the Valley
Labeled "The Garden of Eden" by the early settlers, the city of Corvallis grew into what eventually became known as "the greenest little town in America". This 100 minute documentary contains dozens of stories, lovingly told, of the people, places and things that contributed to Corvallis’s amazing evolution. From the early settlements of native Americans to the present town of more than 50,000 people, the audience will take a trip through the life and times of an American dream town.
Inspired by the 150th birthday of the town in 2007, Stories & Legends features Amoris Walker as the raconteur who carries the viewer back in time and brings the past to life.
Former Secretary of State, Bill Bradbury will be introducing Lynn Walker the producer and her husband Morris Walker the writer and Director, and their charming daughter Amoris Walker at the premiere.
After seeing the official preview Mr. Bradbury had this to say about Stories and Legends:
"This portrait of Corvallis succeeds in so many ways, it is both historically accurate, informative and very entertaining!"
Closely working with many historians and specifically with the Benton County Historical Society, the Walkers and crew have assembled a combination of tales that take the viewer from periods in time long ago and follow the characters and growth for many businesses to the present day. Explaining the significance of the stories to the town as they go. From wagons trains, to paddle wheel boats, to trains, planes and automobiles.
Although Corvallis celebrated it's 150th birthday in 2007, The state of Oregon celebrates it's sesquicentennial this year. This makes the film very interesting to many people around the state relative to the overall chronology of the 150 year status.
The footage, photos, and old and new coverage of the area is amazing and will appeal to young and old alike whether they live in Corvallis, went to OSU, or have just visited the town. From ages 9 to 90, viewers of the preview thus far are enthralled.
Rich with exciting history and coupled with a wide variety of various musical performances from those periods. The film experience promises to be a one of a kind.
About The Walkers
Morris and Lynn Walker discovered Corvallis over 35 years ago and decided to someday make it their home. Together with their children Skye and Amoris they relocated to the area in 1991. Since that time they have been very much involved in video production and documentaries.
Morris Walker, Director/Producer - Since 1993 Morris has been the producer and director of microEPIC, his award-winning production company, creating quality projects for television, documentaries, commercials, and numerous DVD productions. Morris received his MA from Honolulu University and worked on stage with famous stars such as Steve Martin, Jose Feliciano, John Denver, Kathy Westmoreland and many others. The bulk of his performances were with his wife, Lynn, and their children, Amoris and Skye, as The Earthwalkers. He grew up with Steve Martin and wrote the only authorized biography about his life: "Steve Martin, The Magic Years." For more information, visit his website at www.stevemartinmagicyears.com.

Since 1991 she has been overseeing every production that microEPIC has produced, including national award-winning video productions for television, video, documentaries, commercials, & quick-time movies.
Lynn and Morris toured Vietnam and Thailand with the USO, performing for the troops - four to six shows a day, seven days a week! Lynn’s personal contributions to religious organizations have been a passion for many years.
Amoris Walker , Host - Amoris has been on stage since she was 8 years old, when her parents, Lynn and Morris, put her and her brother, Skye, in the family band "The EarthWalkers." After thousands of live concerts, they settled in Oregon and began producing shows as EarthWalker Entertainment. Amoris hosted and acted in several productions during the 90's including the Award Winning "Christmas Tree Story" and "Going Places," an Oregon based sitcom.
Amoris was introduced to editing by her father at the age of 16 and enjoyed it so much, that she started focusing on editing and shooting her own films. The show was great! Having lived in Corvallis for many years seeing the history was wonderful. who knew that the catalyst for starting a fire department was the local tavern burning down:)

Don't waste your money on the DVD. It is billed as a history of Corvallis but the show was nothing more than an advertising tool for the Chamber and selected businesses / financiers (if you helped fund the movie you are featured as part of the history). VERY DISAPPOINTED!
