Independent Film: Abel Raises Cain July 27, 2006

Westport native Jenny Abel presents her first feature film, Abel Raises Cain, about the life and career of her father Alan Abel, known as the worlds greatest hoaxer.

Abel, whose satirical stunts included a campaign to clothe all animals for the sake of decency, A nude horse is a rude horse, was on front pages around the country, makes a great star of a documentary critics called tender and hilarious.

Shown at dozens of film festivals around the world, Abel Raises Cain won the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary Feature at Slamdance, the hipper sibling of the Sundance Festival in Utah.
