Incredible Solar Electric Flight July 23, 2009

Starting from Monte-Carlo on 24 July 2009 and covering an estimated 2000km, the Incredible Solar Electric Flight aims to raise money for Ataxia UK, a national charity helping to support people with Ataxia.

A team of intrepid pilots will fly the new Parajet Electric Paramotor, the world’s first solar-powered electric flight system, to Ceuta Morocco. Covering an estimated 150km per day in favourable weather conditions.

As well as raising awareness of Ataxia, the expedition will also promote alternative energy as a power source of the future, demonstrating the latest combination in solar energy, battery power and paramotors.
