Inauguration of the street named after the author: Rúa Paulo Coelho June 23, 2008

The city council of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) wants to pay homage to Mr. Paulo Coelho in gratefulness for his intense task in the popularisation and promotion of Santiago de Compostela and the Road to Santiago after the publication of his books about the pilgrims road. Thanks to his books, the awareness of the road and the city have spread throughout the world and the "Paulo Coelho effect" is still very lively, mainly in Brazil. The city of Santiago de Compostela has recently been awarded as the Most Recommendable Tourist Destination in São Paolo, Brazil.
On June 23rd at 20:00, a street dedicated to Paulo Coelho will be inaugurated in the French Road so that the pilgrims arriving in Santiago will revive Mr. Coelho's experiences.
The author will be present at the inauguration.
