District residents now have a new place to purchase fresh, local foods as the city’s newest farm market, DC CHEW (Community, Harvest, Education in Ward 7) opens on December 10th. An exciting new addition to the neighborhood, DC CHEW will be a place for the local community to buy sustainable, locally produced food, watch chef demonstrations, learn healthy eating tips and enjoy entertainment, and will launch with two inaugural Saturday markets on December 10 and December 17 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the intersection of Good Hope Road, Naylor Road and Alabama Avenue SE.
