In the Wings
A comically dysfunctional cast, a problem-plagued set and a stage manager at his wit's end add to the tension between a writer and his producer-wife in rehearsal for a play about their own struggle with infertility. Jerry Sroka's new comedy, a semi-autobiographical play-within-a-play, features Mariette Hartley.
"We all know someone who has had difficulty conceiving and the toll that can take on a marriage," says the director, Don Eitner. " 'In the Wings' is a comedy, but it has serious overtones. At heart it's a love story."
