Keri Christensen will emcee and share the story of her journey from her diagnosis, through treatment, and celebrating survival. Whether one is a patient, family member, or friend dealing with the impact of breast cancer in their lives, her message is loud and clear – “You are not alone and you can make it!” Attendees always laugh, cry, and embrace living life to its fullest.
In addition to enjoying the Christensen's humor and outlook on life, patrons enjoy a decadent catered lunch with “Pink” champagne and dessert with coffee or tea while the latest in vogue women’s fashions including yoga wear, active wear and fine lingerie from Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie are shown. Many of the models are breast cancer survivors and are beautiful in spirit and body. The event is sponsored by Sky Ridge Medical Center, Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie, Haircolorxperts of Highlands Ranch, Highlands WineSeller, and Canon Catering.
All proceeds from "In the Pink" will benefit Colorado Cancer Coalition. Colorado Cancer Coalition will be selling grab bags for $25.00 each. Each bag has a$25 value, but will have an opportunity to win a higher-valued item. New this year will be a live auction. Auction paddles will be sold for $5.00 each and Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie has donated several gowns to the auction. The money raised will be targeted specifically to the Colorado Breast Cancer Task Force and the Breast and Women's Reproductive Cancer Fund. The purpose of the Breast Cancer Task Force of the Colorado Cancer Coalition is to advocate for and improve quality care from screening through survivorship for people affected by Breast Cancer throughout Colorado.
The Colorado Breast Cancer Task Force is a network of organizations and individuals that provides leadership and coordination of breast cancer services. It serves as a catalyst for breast cancer prevention and control activities throughout Colorado. Funds raised from this event will help support two key programs: The Colorado Breast Cancer Resource Directory and the Breast and Women’s Reproductive Cancer Fund’s projects focused on breast cancer.
The Colorado Breast Cancer Resource Directory is a helpful guide to the broad range of support resources for people diagnosed with breast cancer and those who care for them. More information can be found at www.breastcancercolorado.org.
The Breast and Women’s Reproductive Cancer Fund addresses the significant screening, treatment, and survivorship needs for people who do not qualify for existing programs. Our grants complement, not duplicate, vital cancer services throughout the state. More information on the fund can be found at www.coloradocancercheckoff.org.
The Colorado Cancer Coalition is a unique gathering of organizations and individuals with interest in the prevention and control of cancer in Colorado. The Coalition dedicates itself to achieving increased prevention, research, early detection, and improved treatment of cancer for all Coloradoans in the coming decade.
