Much more than a concert, In the Mood takes a retro look at the life and time of America’s greatest decade – the 1940’s, where the combination of up-tempo big-band instrumentals and romantic ballads set the mood for a future filled with promise, hope and prosperity. This was an era like no other in our Nation’s history. All of America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music, invigorated and inspired by the same great and timeless tunes that still stand as classics today, including music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and more. The revue features 6 singer/swing dancers and the sensational 13-piece String of Pearls Orchestra with arrangements, choreography and costumes as authentic as it gets.
