"In the Fold" ft. Casey Weldon and Andrew Shondrick OPENING RECEPTION November 10, 2012

ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are pleased to present a new exhibit featuring the art of Casey Weldon and Andrew Shondrick, entitled “In the Fold”. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 6-10pm with complimentary Wine and Stone Brewery Beer for guests 21 of age or older.

Casey Weldon was born in southern California, where he spent the majority of his life up to his graduation from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. After a brief time running his own studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, He relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where he now lives and works as an illustrator and fine artist. By using to the iconography of today and yesterday's popular culture, his work aims to awaken a feelings of nostalgia within the viewer, though often along with a sense humor, melancholy, and longing for times lost.

Andrew R Shondrick is an artist currently working in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2008 he received a BFA in Painting and Drawing [Bunnies] from The University of Akron. Constantly in fear of animals higher than him on the food chain, he's sparse to be seen in large wooded areas or southern wetlands. Always allured to warm summer breezes and all things drifting in space he spends most of his time randomly falling asleep and floating away.

The exhibition will run from November 10 – December 1, 2012

ArtHatch is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: exhibitions changing monthly, "The Alley," featuring new and previous works from over 75 artists, the teen room featuring artwork by 6 local teens, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of over 28 local artists, and "The Lounge", containing 8 walls featuring local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge artwork.

A variety of art books, prints, and collectors dolls are now available as well as an in house art supply store.
