“In Search of the Wizard of Oz” opens August 6 playing Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. & Sundays at 2 p.m. through August 15. Tickets are $15 Friday/Saturday, $13 on Sunday for adults and $10 for children under 12. and are available by calling 303-422-4090. The Festival Playhouse is located at 5665 Olde Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada .

Inspired by the original story of The Wizard of Oz “In Search of the Wizard of Oz” was written by the Ault family and is a perfect family show for all ages. The cast consists of Jim Ault as Mr. Joker, David Cervera as The Cowardly Lion, Amanda Holter as Dorothy, Randy Johnson as the Tin Man, Mike Spritzer as the Scarecrow and Donna Sweet Ault as The Wicked Witch of the West.

Charles Ault, Sr. started The Player Guild in 1936 as a means to put food on the table in the middle of the depression. A love for the theatre and a creative mind brought a group of talented community actors and actresses together to provide the public with live entertainment. This concept was passed on to his son Charley Ault, Jr. who now runs The Players Guild, beginning its 75th year of production.
