Photo historian Bryan Wiley traveled the Atlantic Black diaspora documenting altars and ritual practices of African descendants. Wiley reveals the blurred lines between sacred and secular worlds and illuminates continuities in beliefs and customs in Brazil, Haiti, Cuba, South Carolina and New Orleans. Photographs are accompanied by altars constructed by Haitian priestess and scholar, Dowoti Desir. Guest Curator: Lizzetta Le-Falle-Collins
