Ananya Chatterjea is a professor of Dance at the University of Minnesota and the founder and artistic director of Ananya Dance Theatre. She will talk about her idea of "dance as a call to action" and the many lessons learned through her study of street theater and feminist praxis across the world. She will also discuss her struggles in the artistic process and how she has arrived at her commitment to the immediate relationship between bodily artistic practices and social justice movement.
