Ragini Arts presents "In Backdrop - On canvas" - A solo show of vibrant paintings by artist Madhuri Bhaduri.

Landscape paintings are the reflection of a human tendency of what one sees. It is an immediate translation of nature on canvas. Landscapes are the reflections of nature; seas, mountain, sky, river, forests .. Depicting the sky, its depth is the main endeavour of a landscape artist and weather - the main inspiration of the artist. We can trace both the dimensions in her works.

Madhuri depicts her interaction of mind and matter in a dialogue of brush and paint that is warm, vivid and sensual to the eye. In these forms of space compositions, it is colour that holds together the spatial composition. Her colours resound with the message of her inner spirit where there is hope, joy, beauty and fulfillment. At their best Madhuri's paintings catch the charm of everyday world in every possible hues and tones. They explore the inner sense through a highly innovative symbolism and transcend the idea of self discovery.

The colours, an artist chooses are what an artist is all about. Choice of colours in a way is an expression of the personality of the painter, an extension of herself. The colours used in a painting usually represent the mood of the moment. It is spontaneous extension of human mind on the canvas.

Madhuri says I compare painting with meditation  religion for me is more about humanity  It is about beautifying you from within and reaching out to others.  Abstracts come out from the deep recesses of your self. Her evolution from painting landscapes to figurative work, and from figurative to abstract, is a reflection of her life experiences.
