Workshop Description:

Expose Your UnderWhere -- One of the first things to escape you when you hit that stage is your "where," the objects around you, and, well, you know why: because you're thinking about "where to put things." This workshop'll connect you to everything that's already there, freeing you from thinking and encouraging you to see, helping you explore relationships and create characters in ways you've never done before.

Sharpen Your Point of View -- The very first exchanges of your scene tell you all you need to know about who you are and where to emotionally and energetically go. Are you aware of that? Are you listening to yourself at that time? Hmm? Are ya? This workshop will guide you to your point of view, and have you following yourself confidently, bravely, excitedly, and easily. It's as simple as that!
About David:

David Razowsky is one of the top teachers of theatrical improvisation and acting. He has been called "the guru of improvisation, an improviser's improviser," who connects the mindfulness of Buddhism with improvisation's core principles of being in the moment, taking care of your partner, and groundedness. In his 25-year improvisation career David has worked with The Second City, iO West, the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Dreamworks, BBC's Whose Line Is It Anyway, and Amsterdam's Boom Chicago Theatre. He was artistic director of The Second City Training Center Los Angeles, has been honored with an INNY award for Best Improv Coach, and is adjunct faculty in the California State University system. He has been a featured performer and lecturer at the Chicago Improv Festival, the San Francisco Improv Festival, the Vancouver Improv Festival, and the Kennedy Center. David continues to act and direct professionally in Los Angeles.
About the Show:

For the first time ever, The YES! Lab is thrilled to include a showcase where the Vantage Point Instructor plays with PREPOSTEROUS before the weekend workshop. This gives each Vantage Point participant an opportunity to see the instructor in action before the workshop so they may have exposure to the kind of energy the instructor takes when putting their theories in action.

Registration for the Vantage Point Intensive with David Razowsky includes one ticket to the 8:00 p.m. show on April 6 with PREPOSTEROUS at Voodoo Comedy Playhouse.
