We will draw upon an array of Facing History materials including our new resources Stories of Identity: Religion, Migration and Belonging in a Changing World and What Do We Do With A Difference? France and the Debate Over Headscarves in Schools, as well as Race and Membership in American History, Becoming American: The Chinese Experience, Crossing the BLVD and other examples of film, literature, and historical sources. This workshop will model a variety of interactive teaching strategies to engage diverse students in an examination of history and conversations about difference in own communities today.
