Synopsis: When is Racism Funny? When Comedian/Actor Donald E. Lacy Jr. uses a unique blend of comedy, personal experience, and drama to examine the age-old, social ill of racism and it’s imposing influence on his early life. Written by Mr. Lacy, directed by Michael Torres, Sound Scape & Music by Tommy Shepherd, and original producer, William Hammons --

With humor, COLORSTRUCK examines the differences and misunderstandings that lead to racism. Also, it is the poignant story of how a light-skinned African-American is treated, questioned, and sometimes, ridiculed by darker-skinned Black people.

Laughter & Reflection are the key words as post performance discussions provide audience members an opportunity to discuss race relations, diversity, and their own experiences as they seek to build bridges and tear down the walls and barriers that separate us as humans. These discussions exemplify “real time” coalition building at its finest.

• A unique, ingenious, and unusual theatrical experience that is unrivaled, culturally exhilarating, and entertaining that may be used as a training tool to begin open and honest dialogue about the need to honor and respect diversity.
