Austin-based Singer/Songwriter Amy Cook will play a fundraiser on Thursday, September 2 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Salt Lick Pavilion located in Driftwood, Texas, which benefits www.imfromdriftwood.com, a website that collects and shares true lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender stories from all over the world.
Amy Cook recently released the album, Let the Light In produced by Alejandro Escovedo. Amy Cook weaves the sounds of alt folk, pop, Americana, and rock and roll into a "moody and kick-ass" (Velvet Park) canopy of sound.
The Salt Lick Event will be the kickoff party for the Tour for a four-month, 50-state Story Tour to collect and share more stories from all across America. Event hosted by Rebecca Havemeyer with a $30 suggested donation includes dinner, drinks, music and entertainment. Kids 12 and under are free.
