iLead2008 – Be The Change!
The Art of Living Foundation Launches a Program for Emerging Young Leaders
To create a "Stress Free, Violence Free" Society

More than 40% of the San Jose area population is under the age of 30. Among the many challenges facing youth is the health affects and community impacts of violence and stress. In 2005, about 16 young adults were murdered each day across the nation. That year, the cost of youth violence was $158 billion. How do we solve this challenge?

This event, "iLead2008: Be the change campaign", will be the first to introduce this campaign to the Bay Area and will honor local organizations and youth who have done exemplary work in promoting peace and building communities in San Jose and the surrounding community. The honors will be given in three categories; P & P (Promoting the Peace); C & C (Commitment to Community); E & E (Excellence in Education).
