Concieved in 2004 by pop impresario Simon Cowell, Il Divo represents a new vocal concept featuring four internationally renowned young male singers who apply operatic technique and virtuosity to the interpretation of romantic songs from the popular repertoire, with full orchestral accompaniment. Formed after a two-year search, the quartet is comprised of American tenor David Miller, popular French singer Sebastien Izambard, Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, and Spanish baritone Carlos Marin. Since their 2005 debut album the group have sold over 22 million albums worldwide.
