IDSA Oregon presents: 3BY10 - A chance to see what creative professionals and design students in Portland are up to, ten minutes at a time.
Doors at 6pm, and it's all wrapped up by 7pm.
This month's speakers:
Recent RISD grad Kevin Quale gives a quick overview of The Useful Object Series: a studio project that creates a collection of products carefully designed to have no specific function, leaving the user to invent a use.
Local IDSA organizer and Ziba writer Carl Alviani gives a quick summary of the recent IDSA 2010 International Conference, focusing on the impact of DIY on professional design. Plenty of photos, observations and coverage from the first such event to be hosted in Portland.
Corey Pressman of Exprima Media will give a ten minute talk on the future of mobile devices in the classroom, based on his extensive research and work with educators and major textbook publishers. What's anatomy look like on the iPad? Come and find out.
Happy hour to follow at Someday Lounge - 125 Northwest 5th Avenue btw Couch and Davis
