The first-ever re-creation of Iannis Xenakis’s “Polytope de Persepolis” will be a one-night-only event at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The work, a site-specific, sonic and visual spectacle, has been adapted for the park by German sound artist Daniel Teige. Persepolis L.A will include 48 speakers, laser beams, fire, smoke, and searchlights and will open with Xenakis’s first electronic composition, “Diamorphoses.”
