Herb, a Hollywood scriptwriter currently not employed is surprised when his forgotten past reappears in the form of Libby, his daughter who has trekked from Brooklyn with dreams of movie stardom. With Steffy, his on again off again girlfriend at his side, Herb decides to take another stab at fatherhood, and hopefully get it right, this time.
From 1936 to the present, the theatre has presented nearly three thousand performances, over half of these since Charley Ault and his wife Donna purchased the building in 1990. They have calculated that The Festival Playhouse has enriched the lives of over 130,000 people with community plays. When it comes to counting the actors and actresses who have been mentored and directed, the number is over a thousand.
The Festival Playhouse was awarded the 2011 Image Award by the Arvada Chamber of Commerceat a luncheon held at the Arvada Center on March 8. For more information go towww.ArvadaChamber.org.
