David Byrne conducted his first I heart PowerPoint presentation at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art in 2003. It immediately became a cult hit.

"It is about taking subjective, even emotional, information and presenting it in a familiar audiovisual form-using a medium in a way that is different, and possibly better, than what was intended,"

Byrne says.

The author, composer, photographer and Talking Heads lead singer is the first to admit that his love of the ubiquitous presentation software started out as a bit of a joke-a way of poking fun at the corporate salesman's clipart tool kit-but then it took on a life of its own.
