Adam Gyorgy’s 2011 World Tour Honors Liszt’s 200th Birthday
WHO:Adam Gyorgy is regarded as one of the finest Liszt players in the world and the Liszt ambassador in his home country of Hungary. His performance at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall honors the 200th birthday of Franz Liszt, and will include the famous Liszt Sonata in b minor, as well as virtuoso Liszt Transcriptions, a Paganini-Liszt étude, a Hungarian Rhapsody, and his own improvisations of well-known melodies, unique in the classical music community. In 2008, CNN World Report called Adam Gyorgy “one of today’s rising stars in classical music”.
In 2005, Adam Gyorgy was invited to join the Steinway community, a single honor that places him in the company of the greatest pianists of all time. From prodigy to Liszt ambassador, Adam Gyorgy enchants audiences everywhere he performs.
