This modest Marathi comedy is woven around the spectrum of activities ranging from courtship to marriage. What makes it interesting is that the sutradhar (narrator) of the play makes telling observations of a couple’s tryst with the business of love. He is omnipresent, full of jokes that run through the gamut of emotions that a young couple goes through. The couple itself symbolizes love that is carefree of the baggage of religion and caste. The heroine is a Muslim while the hero is a Hindu.
