The Hudson River served as a central route for transporting supplies and troops during the American Revolution and beyond. Storyteller Jonathan Kruk and folk balladeer Rich Bala will explore the river's Revolutionary history through a dynamic blend of music, songs and stories. Topics include Benedict Arnold's treason at West point, the origins of the song "Yankee Doodle," and additional history and folklore surrounding the waterway. Kruk and Bala have been performing together since 1990 and have appeared at various schools, sites and societies throughout the tri-state area.
