Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, one of the most innovative and thrilling dance companies in the United States, encourages audiences to think, explore emotions, and have fun. Hubbard Street’s dances are engaging, seductive, and often edgy. The troupe, founded in 1977, transcends preconceptions about dance by juxtaposing works inspired by a variety of genres, including jazz, modern, ballet, and theatrical. Since the turn of the century, Hubbard Street has expanded its repertoire with influences from abroad. The company of twenty-two dancers performs works from American and international choreographers for audiences across the globe.
