Daniel Appelquist (W3C TAG member and Senior Technology Strategist at Vodafone) invites you to a pub lunch this Friday along with Doug Schepers, Web Standards Specialist at the W3C.
This is a chance for a relaxed chat and Q&A about the future of HTML and related Web standards. Please note this is not a sponsored event so you’ll have to buy your own lunch. We only supply the Web standards goodness.
It’s at the Union Bar (http://www.theunionbar.co.uk) from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Enjoy!

Sounds great! We are running a similar monthly meetup in Germany (Frankfurt) if someone is around and interested ;)
If you're coming from Paddington Station head along platform 8 and go up the steps (half the area around the station is being dug up). Turn right and continue along the walkway following the PaddingtonCentral signs. These will lead you left alongside a towpath with the canal on your right. Go under a bridge (with a bike stand under it on your left). Then you're pretty much at the co-ordinates from @dappelquist
Hi! Just a quick question is this event open for everyone?
Yep - open for everyone. Just roll up. We should be at a large table at the canal-facing end of the room. See you there!
Thanks to all who attended!

Just a quick note - Yahoo! maps doesn't seem to have a clue where this pub is - the location on the map and under the "get direction" link is WRONG. Please use the following location info:
