This course covers Standard HSC English Modules B Close Study of Text and C Texts and Society. Days 1 & 2 will be devoted to Module B, and days 3-5 to Module C. The course will help you to understand clearly the Syllabus requirements, and assist you in developing the appropriate skills to optimise your responses. You will gain insight into close analysis of texts and ways in which language shapes meaning, with strong emphasis on identifying and commenting on the forms, features and structures of language and texts. You will strengthen your understanding of how people's attitudes and beliefs may affect their perception of meaning and the consequences of this, and ways in which language can reflect personal experience of change and development. You will have the opportunity to discuss your prescribed texts and will also consider a wide range of related texts. Details of this event may be subject to change.
