HSC Preparation: English - Advanced (Part 3) July 8, 2012

This course covers Advanced HSC English Modules B Critical Study of Texts, & C Representation and Text. Module B is days 1-2; Module C is days 3-5. It will focus on the skills required to meet Syllabus requirements in these two Modules. It will help you to reach a more sophisticated understanding of the meaning of a text, in particular ways in which perceptions of meaning may be affected by historical and other contexts, personal perspectives and medium of production. By considering prescribed texts and a wide range of related texts in Module C, and close analysis of prescribed texts in Module B, you will be able to deepen your understanding of key concepts such as values, perspectives, context, textual integrity and variant readings.
