The course will concentrate on improving examination technique in the Short Answer & Business Report sections through the HSC Business Studies topics 1, 2 and 3. This course will then cover the main elements involved in the development and implementation of successful marketing strategies - HSC Topic 2 Marketing. For HSC Topic 3, the focus is to develop an understanding of the role of financial planning within business operation and management. Existing case studies will be used to interpret the published annual reports. Students will then develop skills to interpret financial information and analyse the financial statements, undertake comparative ratio analysis with similar businesses, against common standards (HSC Business Studies Topic 3). Existing case studies will be used to analyse the financial statements, undertake comparative ratio analysis and evaluate marketing strategies for a product or service.
