"Bre-ew Moon,
You saw me standing alone
Without a dram in my heart
Without a beer of my own."
The character, moods and well being of people, the growth of plants, the weather and the tides of the ocean all depend on the lunar cycle. This month our beer dinner falls on a full moon, and we're a little loony!
The March full moon has been called the "Full Worm Moon," when emerging worms heralded the return of the robins (and thus, of Spring); the "Full Crow Moon" (cawing crows signaled the coming of Spring); and "Full Sap Moon" (we know what that means around here-it's Sugaring Time!). Early settlers called the March full moon the Lenten Moon.
No matter what you call it, we've been mooning about lately, thirsting for the next beer dinner. Bill Baxter from Premium Beverage presents. We've tapped into a great selection of beers, and paired them with a fantastic menu from Grovewood's award-winning kitchen. A complimentary recipe book of the dishes served (but adapted for the home kitchen) will be presented.
