"How to be a Session Singer" workshop April 29, 2012

Get an introduction to the world of session singing direct from Ann Bailey, a professional session singer and Tim Hart, sound engineer, both who work in this area regularly.
Find out what’s required, what to expect, how to get work and what to do next!

This workshop will cover:
• The types of jobs 'session' work covers
• Working to a brief
• Professional etiquette
• Ideal skills and know-how
• Putting a show reel together
• Getting session experience
• Working in a recording studio
• Working with a sound engineer
• Simulated recording session to a brief

For this workshop you will be given a segment of a song and a brief to prepare in the way you might get on a real session job. Ann and Tim will take you through the process of recording the song from start to finish, from lead vocal to harmonies. You will be able to take the recording home on CD, who knows this could be the start of your own show reel!
