JAMI ATTENBERG is the author of two books of fiction, Instant Love and The Kept Man. Her work, both fiction and nonfiction, has appeared in Jane, Print, New York, Nylon, Radar, Salon, Nextbook, Time Out NY, Five Chapters, Smokelong Quarterly, 3: AM Magazine, and Spork, as well as in a number of anthologies, including Sex for America. Her third book, The Melting Season, will be published by Riverhead Books in the future. She lives in Brooklyn, and has been blogging for more than a decade at whatever-whenever.net.
ANN CARR is an actress, comedian, and character maven. Her previous one-woman shows include "The Winner's Circle" and "There is Only One You." Her latest solo show, currently at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, is called "Use It" because if you find yourself crying openly in a Starbucks about the webisode audition you just went on, you need to find a way to channel that shit. Ann has a blog, called Ann Carr is Living Her Life, at anncarr.blogspot.com.
LIAM MCENEANEY has appeared on Comedy Central, "Premium Blend", and was a regular panelist on VH1's "Best Week Ever." Liam was head writer for The Humor Network, where his work was read on a regular basis by about two-and-a-half million readers. One of them worked at a vineyard and sent him two free bottles of wine. That was cool. Liam tours the country regularly, performing stand-up comedy and helping strangers solve their problems. He can also be seen every week at Tell Your Friends!, a free comedy show at Lolita Bar. Liam is also online at kidliam.blogspot.com.

THE SERIES
HOW I LEARNED is a brand new monthly reading series featuring a mix of writers, comedians, bloggers and performers as chosen by hostess Blaise Allysen Kearsley based primarily on personal hygiene and make out prowess. On the fourth Wednesday of every month, offering fact, fiction and everything in between, How I Learned strives to share invaluable life lessons against a dimly lit, self-indulgent, sexually tense and booze fueled backdrop. It's education that works.
THE HOSTESS
Blaise Allysen Kearsley (also known as Blaise K because she's lazy) is a writer, photographer and veteran blogger who has appeared at PS122, Lolita, Bowery Poetry Club and Collective Unconscious. Her writing has been published in Nerve, Vice and The Black Table, and in the books Mortified and Cringe. She has been written up by Gawker, Gothamist, several major New York publications, a glossy British magazine for teen girls, and a newsletter for young orthodox Jews who live in Toronto. She doesn't blame you for being jealous.
