The resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan and the continuing concern about nuclear issues in the Middle East and South Asia put Pakistan in the spotlight. What can Pakistan do to alleviate international concerns? Why are the problems along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border so intractable? What are the options for a new American administration?
