Thomas Macaulay stacks and layers hundreds of identical mass-produced cardboard boxes resulting in pristine, 'classical' structures. Interior passages, chambers, exterior 'gateways' and 'stairways' that both physically and perceptually actively engage the viewer arise from this common, throwaway material.
