Shonali Bhowmik is a co-producer of the hit show Variety Shac at UCB Theater. She is also the leader of the indie rock band Tigers and Monkeys for which she is the songwriter, singer, and guitar player. She is also one of the leaders of Atlanta’s Ultrababyfat which was featured on tour with David Cross in the DVD “Let America Laugh.” Her bands have shared the stage with PJ Harvey, The Shins, and Sleater Kinney. Her music may be heard in the Shac short films for which she composes signature instrumental tracks. She does commercial work, acts in independent film projects as well as sketches on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” She recently started her own independent record label called Little Lamb Recordings.
Scott Moran is a person from Spokane, Washington but will probably say Seattle if you ask him. He began his comedy career in Seattle producing a series of successful weekly and monthly comedy shows with the Seattle based group Peoples Republic of Komedy. Since then he has moved on to New York City and has produced comedy shows in several venues including Rififi and currently at Castlebraid and in the Lower East Side at UC Lounge.
Jane Borden has been a professional journalist for almost a decade and recently published her first book, I Totally Meant to do That, with Crown Publishing. Borden has been on staff at Time Out New York for five years. As comedy editor, she’s covered theater and television. Jane also penned a dating column for Time Out before deciding to work part-time to write a book and freelance.
