Friday, Saturday & Sunday January 17, 18, 19th 7:00 PM
The Crucible is setting fashion aflame with Hot Couture – a flaming showcase of wearable art by Bay Area designers.
Our 8th Anniversary was celebrated with the groundbreaking Romeo & Juliet, A Fire Ballet, and this summer’s Fire Arts Festival included an update of Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey. This January, for our ninth anniversary bash The Crucible forges fashion with fire arts, eco-design and “flameboyant” performances in a not-to-be-missed incendiary celebration of style.
The Hot Couture fashion show will feature the work of a variety of Bay Area designers, including:
Bad Unkl Sista, Miss Velvet Cream, Jay Bridgland, Cheeky Sweetart, Super Sugar Ray Ray, Miranda
Caroligne, Eimaj Designs, Elwyn Crawford, Lee Kobus, Megan Fenske, Auberon, and many more.
The evening will also include Crucible-style performers and music by DJ Delachaux, as well as demonstrations
in welding, blacksmithing, glass blowing, and other industrial arts.
The 3-day run begins with press previews and Community Night on Thursday with value-priced tickets, and
continues through Saturday evening’s special VIP gala that includes catered food and drinks, a silent auction,
and a special performance by renowned cellist, Zoe Keating. Ticket prices range from $15 to $150, and are
available online beginning December 1st at www.thecrucible.org.
This is a standing room only event, 18 and over please.
