Hyundai Hopman Cup is owned and managed by the International Tennis Federation, the world governing body of tennis. The tournament was developed as a tribute to the late Harry Hopman (Australia's legendary Davis Cup player and champion coach) and filled a void in the world of tennis by providing a tournament where men and women compete together for their country on the same court.
