Hope Mohr Dance Presents Sixth Home Season, May 3-5 May 3, 2013

The sixth home season of Hope Mohr Dance, Artist-in-Residence at ODC Theater, features the world premiere of Mohr's "Failure of the Sign is the Sign" and the West Coast premiere of Susan Rethorst's "Behold Bold Sam Dog." A bold and visionary company, Hope Mohr Dance creates intricate, highly textured work in both narrative content and its structural form. Mohr also annually hosts other talented choreographers through the company's Bridge Project. The fourth recipient of a Bridge Project residency, internationally renowned teacher and choreographer Susan Rethorst, will set her acclaimed work on an ensemble of local dancers including Mohr herself, hailed as an exquisite, powerful and mesmerizing performer. Mohr has curated this season to foster a choreographic dialogue based on a shared interest in language and choreographic craft.
