Children 2-12 years old can participate!
Immanuel Lutheran Church – Come during your 15 minute pre-scheduled time with your pledge sheet filled out and your collected money!
Goal – find other people who are willing to support this family through their prayers and monetary gifts!
Noah attended 2 year old TOT Class at Immanuel Lutheran where his family attends church. He enjoyed school like all the other children and especially loved playing with the train set. Noah, it was discovered, has Batten Disease. He is 5, and already his life may be half over. It’s a genetic disorder. To sum it up, it is similar to having Lou Gehrig's disease and Alzheimer’s disease at the same time - one attacking the body, and the other the brain. To everyone’s shock, Noah's 3-year-old sister Laine also has the fatal disease, even though she is showing few symptoms at this time.
The Van Houtan's certainly need our prayers, but we can also help them with our actions by all joining in and helping their cause by giving them our support.
Here is the plan!
1.There are three ways to get a pledge sheet. Pick one up at Immanuel, request one by email (see below),
or print one from the Immanuel website link. www.ilcdg.org
2. Get people to pledge and donate money per hop, or people may donate one set amount.
3.All money and checks should be collected at the time people make their pledge. Please make checks payable to Immanuel Lutheran Church – in the memo section please note – “Hop-for-Hope”
4.Email or call one of the people listed below to schedule a “hop time” for your child.
The 15 minute time slot includes, a one minute hop time with fun music, refreshments for the children, and fellowship for all. All children need to be accompanied by an adult. Families will be moving in and out of the lower level of Immanuel Lutheran Church all day on Saturday, November 21.
Check the pledge sheet for more information.
