About Sammy Jo Scissor Sisters Tour DJ:
In 1997, DJ Sammy Jo took his first steps into a dj booth at the legendary New York City nightclub MOTHER (home to the infamous Jackie 60 party) for his first ever nightlife venture called Messy.
Expanding his play-list to include current dance music, Sammy Jo was eventually recruited to play at the original cyberfetish party Click + Drag where he met and collaborated with Jake Shears of the soon-to-be-formed Scissor Sisters. As neighbours and like-minded artists, the two discovered a common passion for all types of music. In the spring of 2004 Shears asked Sammy Jo to dj on the Scissor Sisters Crevice Canyon Tour, a union that worked so well the band recruited him as their official tour dj.
Since then Sammy Jo has been playing clubs throughout Europe on his own - creating a name for himself while also supporting the Scissor Sisters whenever they call on him. From 2006 Sammy Jo has been represented by London based JUMPDJ LTD music management, an agency specializing in underground, avant- garde and iconic acts from around the world. Sammy Jo’s unique style of blending electro, house, and dark disco has gained him a strong worldwide client base. He spends half his year travelling the globe - from the O2 Arena stadium in London to club RAZZMATAZZ in Barcelona, from LaMESSA afterhours events in Milan to warehouse parties in Antwerp, playing for 60,000 people at V Festival - while the other half he maintains residencies in New York City.

BEST POLY PARTY:
A CLUB CALLED RHONDA
When it comes to hedonism, rough can be tough, as in good. Case in point: A Club Called Rhonda, the queen bitch of flashy dance parties housed inside the tacky East Hollywood salsa club Guatelinda. To regulars, Rhonda's not just a club, it's a living entity to be referred to in the third person. She can definitely be a bad influence. Cheap booze (and free mandatory Jell-O shots at the door!), a sultry, non-air-conditioned space that makes you wanna strip (bad '70s porn interior includes mirrored walls, lady statues, Christmas lights and red, black and white everything), and hautea hordes humping about in some of the most creative DIY duds you'll see anywhere — from weird workout wear to ghetto-glam costumes. It all makes for a wanton wonderland feel. Promoter Aaron Castle and the Goddollars crew call their bimonthly bash a "polysexual" party, but the poly principle applies to more than babes of all persuasions hooking up. This rager's rotating roster of DJs (guests have included Jeremy Scott, Acid Girls, Guns & Bombs and Cosmo Vitelli) churn out multifaceted electro/disco mixes that are as raw and raunchy as the room itself. And that's just how Rhonda likes it.
