New York, NY - New York City will flash back to the 1950’s when comedian Lisa Levy hosts a hilarious updated riff on Groucho Marx's classic 1950’s TV game show You Bet Your Life every Tuesday in October exclusively at Mo Pitkins.
Levy will incorporate graphics, sponsorship and video clips all from the original show. The show will also give both contestants and audience members the chance to win cash and prizes by answering tricky trivia questions as well as giving contestants points for saying the pre-selected “secret word”.
This is the third installations of Levy’s LIVE! shows. Before You Bet Your Life LIVE! Levy created and performed Psychotherapy LIVE! where she played a self-proclaimed psychotherapist and performed psychotherapy on audience volunteers. She also created and performed Red Carpet LIVE! in which audience members played the part of “celebrities” as Levy interviewed them and a panel
of experts judged them for awards, such as “The Person Who is Better than Everyone Else Here.”
Levy has been deemed by The New York Times and London Times as being “a shrink with stage presence” and “riotously funny.” In addition to the LIVE! shows, Levy hosted the Academy Awards at Joe’s Pub and An Evening with Artist Eric Doeringe at the Whitney Museum.
