Two Shows: 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
Toronto's Holly Cole is known for her versatile voice and her genre-bending repertoire, which spans the divergent worlds of show tunes, jazz, rock, and country. For her self-titled eighth studio album, producer/bassist Greg Cohen suggested working with a bigger band than she has used in the past, and the self-titled release, recorded in New York City over the course of three sessions, is a big-sounding, dense, musical stew of improvisation and innovation. Highlights include Cole's tender take on Irving Berlin's "Be Careful of My Heart" and a superb rendering of Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Waters of March." For more information visit www.hollycole.com.
