Hollin Hills, a neighborhood of mid-century modern houses of award-winning design, will host a tour of eleven homes and gardens on Saturday, May 13. This community of houses with large expanses of glass, sleek lines, and unusual siting has earned national recognition from the early fifties to the present. Landscape designs for Hollin Hills homes were prepared to reflect the belief that interior spaces should flow into exteriors, and that the grounds of one home should merge with the next, all in a park-like setting. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased on the day of the tour at the entrance to Hollin Hills at the corner of Paul Spring Road and Fort Hunt Road. Registration opens at 9:00 am and will remain open through 2:30 pm. Food will be available for purchase.
