Reston Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, and Sing Along
Friday, November 28, 11 am, Market Street
Welcome the holiday season with Macy’s-style balloons, musical groups, dancers, antique cars, community groups and more from around the region in this one-of-a-kind, 18th annual parade, complete with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. “Toon In…It’ll be Unreal!” – favorite animated characters from cartoons, comics, movies, and more will be featured this year. Through the afternoon, enjoy visits and photos with Santa, ice-skating and street entertainment. At 6 pm, watch as Santa and Mrs. Claus magically light up Reston Town Center and the holiday tree, then sing along with the Reston Chorale and brass quintet. From 6:30 until 10 pm, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides around Reston Town Center, $5 per person, children 5 and under ride free. All proceeds benefit Volunteer Fairfax.
